Beta Request for Sandman/Pacific RIM Crossover Fic
I've written two out of a planned 8 chapters for a Pacific Rim/Sandman crossover fic in which the Endless drift with each other. It's mostly just some character exploration, nothing super violent or trigger-worthy. Anyway, I'd like to have it betad so if anyone is available I'd really appreciate it! I prefer to work over google docs, but if you're available, send me a message and we can work something out.

Thank you so much!

New CoT / stand-alone if you like: Nightingale and Thrush
Title: Nightingale and Thrush
Fandom: Good Omens
Pairing & Characters: Aziraphale/Crowley, Shadwell/Tracy, Newt/Anathema, Adam
Rating: PG-13 (this is technically pre-slash; see Notes below)
Notes: The date of 26 August 1990, the day on which the final scenes of the novel (and also this story) are set, has been fixed using two factors: one, the novel was published in 1990 and is thus taken by myself and most GO fans to be happening in that same year, and, two, the paintball retreat held by Mary Hodges is actually cited in-text as taking place on August 20-21. Aside from the novel's first section set in Eden (In the Beginning) and its second section set in 1979 at Adam Young's Birth (Eleven Years Ago), the remaining sections are named by the days of the week they're occurring: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. In 1990, the 20th and 21st fell on Monday and Tuesday. We may safely assume that the retreat bled into a third day, Wednesday, which is of course the day on which Aziraphale and Crowley turn up at Tadfield Manor in the middle of the paintpall battle to interrogate Ms. Hodges. By that logic, Sunday is August 26th. This can be read as a stand-alone, but, as with most GO content I write these days, it functions as a flashback in CoT 'Verse. Page numbers given below reference the British hardcover first edition from Gollancz.
Summary: When the sun finally sets on that day, reality, too, must set in.

New CoT: Not My Division (Aziraphale/Crowley, Others)
Title: Not My Division
Pairings & Characters: Aziraphale/Crowley, Dagon, Sophia, Others
Rating: R (partly for tough conversations, partly for kind-of-smut)
Word Count: 4,000
Notes: This is CoT #29 (LJ reckoning) / #34 (AO3 reckoning), a Coda of sorts to the most recent full-length story ("Always the Bridesmaid"). An overwhelming number of you wanted a conversation between Crowley and Dagon about as badly as I did (but couldn't seem to fit it into the main piece), so that's what these interim pieces are for. All that I know about the next major story is that it's the road-trip holiday referenced recently in Aziraphale's thoughts; I'm keeping the geographic area they'll be driving well under wraps. In the meantime, have these few moments of revelatory surprise.
Summary: What good is history if you can't learn from it?

New CoT: Always the Bridesmaid, Part 1 (A/C, Ensemble)
Title: Always the Bridesmaid (Part 1 / 3)
Pairings & Characters: Aziraphale/Crowley, Adam/Sophia, Mandy/Iván, Raphael/Uriel, Pippa & Robert (the cute grandson), Shadwell/Tracy (they will show up in this story), Anathema/Newt (Newt will get screen-time beyond mere mention), Janet & Natalie (the twins), Dagon/Tanith, Hastur & Ligur (they're still confused)
Rating: NC-17 (for this installment definitely, and probably the rest)
Word Count: 8,000 (for this part so far)
Notes: This full-length story is CoT 'Verse #28 (#31 by AO3 version chapter-reckoning). The wedding in this story is undoubtedly the most keenly awaited since Adam and Sophia tied the knot, so, as per Pippa's constant urging, let's get on with it.
Summary: Sometimes the best plans of all are plans left (mostly) unmade.

New CoT [Intermission - #27]: Holika, Twice-Burned
Title: Holika, Twice-Burned
Characters & Pairings: Adam and Uriel; reference to several pairings
Rating: PG-13
Notes: This Intermission [Extra] is CoT 'Verse #27 and deals with the major obvious thread left hanging in As Above, So Below (#26). The title is a reference to one of the major players in the piece of Indian folklore underlying the festival attended by Aziraphale and Crowley in Delayed Reaction (#9). No tale turns up without reason, and this is no exception: it also deals with some interesting metaphysics reaching as far back as Some Assembly Required (#14). If you had questions, here be answers.
Summary: Uriel understands the risk she's taking; precedent may be on her side.

New GO Stand-Alone Fic: Plans Within Plans
Title: Plans Within Plans
Pairing: Aziraphale/Crowley
Rating: R, maybe higher? I'm never sure how to rate my treatment of sex.
Notes: A response to this prompt from nefertiti-is-my-division. Crowley's paranoia is one of my favorite subjects, so this is a fantastic opportunity.
Summary: "Oh, I do hope so," said Aziraphale. "Anyway, I'm sure the alternative wouldn't be allowed. Er. Would it?" / "I don't know. You can never be certain about what's really intended. Plans within plans." / "Sorry?" said Aziraphale. / "Well," said Crowley, who'd been thinking about this until his head ached, "haven't you ever wondered about it all? You know—your people and my people, Heaven and Hell, good and evil, all that sort of thing? I mean, why?" (Good Omens, p. 808, iBooks edition)

New GO Fic: Happy Accident (Aziraphale/Crowley, R)
Title: Happy Accident
Pairing: Aziraphale/Crowley
Rating: R
Notes: This is CoT 'Verse #22, a rare flashback to a handful of earlier points in their history (both far and near, chronologically speaking) that can absolutely be read as a stand-alone. sejitsu handed me a prompt some months ago that I'd been saving for a rainy day. She asked me, What if Crowley is the unwitting originator of “angel” as a term of endearment? He's kind of embarrassed about it, because it was never actually meant to be a pet name—but even he uses it as a term of endearment these days! And then hekateras asked the equal-and-opposite question in a prompt she offered on the community prompts-post, namely, The first time Aziraphale called Crowley “my dear,” and his reaction to it. It seemed to me that pairing these ideas made a lot of sense! Also, these girls have been waiting too long for me to fill their prompts, and, hey, it's Christmas.
Summary: Just because you don't mean it at first doesn't mean you won't eventually.

New CoT 'Verse nonsense: Outtake #4 (A/C, NC-17)
Title: Outtake #4
Pairing: Aziraphale/Crowley
Rating: NC-17
Notes: CoT 'Verse #20. The Kyoto trip, which is the primary subject of the most recent story, keeps haunting me (in a good way, granted). That hotel room is a bit too pretty to leave behind just yet, and they're not done talking. There's been talk of tying somebody's hands for quite some time, so this is where it finally happens.
Summary: Food, sake, sex, and conversation—maybe even in that order.

New CoT 'Verse Extra: Penance
Title: Penance
Pairing: Aziraphale/Crowley
Rating: PG-13
Notes: This constitutes #18 in Crown of Thorns 'Verse. It counts as an Extra, in that I'm using it to fill a request that came in several weeks ago: Crowley and ducklings. If you happen to disbelieve what you read under the cut, I should tell you that something exactly like this happened to a friend of mine several years ago (I witnessed it personally) when we went to a conference in Michigan; the ducklings in question were wild, not domesticated in the least, and we were, to put it bluntly, losing our shit over the cuteness. And here's some video proof with domesticated ones! Timeline-wise, this is about two weeks after the events of Until Death.
Summary: Stranger things have happened in September.

New Good Omens Fic: Until Death (Aziraphale/Crowley, R)
Title: Until Death
Pairing/Characters: Aziraphale/Crowley, Ensemble Cast
Rating: R
Word Count: 8,000
Notes: This full-length story is #17 in the Crown of Thorns 'Verse sequence; it follows the most recent longer piece, Modest, Yet Refined (more recent small additions to the series include Outtake #2 and Outtake #3, with Outtake #1 having been an inset ficlet for The Walls, the Wainscot, and the Mouse). If you've managed to follow me this far, then you'll know that domesticity does not necessarily guarantee an easy ride. This story will mark the first time (unless you count certain events in What to Do When the Clock Just Stops and Some Assembly Required as having been the first and second instances) that strain above and beyond the ordinary will throw a significant warp into the life they've woven. Still, I ask for your trust.
Summary: Autumn has arrived, and with it, a sea-change come too soon.

New Good Omens Fic: Outtake #3
Title: Outtake #3 (falls between High the Water, High the Walls and What to Do When the Clock Just Stops; overall 'verse directory is here)
Pairing: Aziraphale/Crowley
Rating: NC-17
Notes: Not sure where to begin, as far as explaining the odd confluence of threads in this piece. It's two requests (from sejitsu and hekateras) rolled into one, plus an all-too-relevant flashback to 15th-century Spain. Light bondage; possible triggers.
Summary: Practice makes perfect (except when it doesn't).

New Good Omens Fic: Outtake #2
Title: Outtake #2 (just post-The Walls, the Wainscot, and the Mouse)
Pairing: Aziraphale/Crowley
Rating: NC-17, as the complications of sex are pretty much the subject.
Notes: Whereas Outtake #1 slots into the framework of WW&TM as a missing scene, this piece is designed to fall right after it. There's almost six years' worth of figuring-out-how-this-intimacy-stuff-works that happens between then and What to Do When the Clock Just Stops; previously, you didn't get to see any of it (with the exception of High the Water, High the Walls, which falls two years after WW&TM).
Summary: Crowley shrugged. “We could lay in a garden come spring.”

New GO Fic: Modest, Yet Refined
Title: Modest, Yet Refined
Pairing/Characters: Aziraphale/Crowley, Anathema, Madame Tracy, and several OCs typical of this 'verse
Rating: R
Notes: This constitutes CoT 'Verse #14. From now on, if you want to see where a piece falls in the overall order, default to checking the directory. mizstorge and write_rewrite are incredibly persistent; it's Crowley's turn to make a big decision.
Summary: In search of the unattainable, it's wise to bring along some friends.

Summer Prompt Fill #12: Another CoT 'Verse Extra
Title: Beginners' Archaeology
Pairing/Characters: Aziraphale/Crowley, Pippa, Mandy
Rating: PG-13
Notes: I have three Good Omens summer prompts left in the file of ones that looked viable (which I compiled back in June); whoever requested Aziraphale/Crowley, anything to do with museums, this one's for you (and also for ida_pea, as she said something off-hand in a comment, like she always does, that made me realize there's another rather crucial Pippa moment to be had thanks to the events of Some Assembly Required). So, slot this into CoT 'Verse right after the aforementioned.
Summary: What's behind glass is less interesting than what's in plain sight.

New GO Fic Concluded: Some Assembly Required
Title: Some Assembly Required (Part 2 / 2; Part 1 is here.)
Pairing/Characters: Aziraphale/Crowley, Ensemble Cast (i.e. just about everybody)
Rating: NC-17
Notes: This is the next substantial piece fitting into Crown of Thorns 'Verse. Once I'd established that Adam and Sophia were aiming to marry in Spring 2013, katarzi raised the issue of Pippa finding out Aziraphale and Crowley aren't married, as such, and all of the interesting havoc that might result, because, well, she fancies herself Aziraphale's BFF these days. This story really did start out with an eye toward humor, and it does and will contain plenty, but there are emotional threads and themes still trailing from The Beach Botanist's Survival Guide (and even as far back as What to Do When the Clock Just Stops) that have become relevant and resolve here.
Summary: Even the best-laid wedding plans come at a price for those invited.

Outtake Ficlet for The Walls, the Wainscot, and the Mouse
Title: Outtake #1 (missing scene from The Walls, the Wainscot, and the Mouse)
Pairing: Aziraphale/Crowley
Rating: NC-17 (unavoidable, given the part on which this elaborates)
Notes: Henceforth, Outtakes are a different class of ficlet from Extras in Crown of Thorns 'Verse, as it's possible I'll do more Outtakes in future that fit within the framework of the sequence's existing longer pieces. To tell you the truth, I'm glad those of you who natter at and with me on Twitter thought this sounded like a good idea, because it's something I've questioned myself on at numerous points in the past. The first-time scene in WW&TM is Aziraphale's viewpoint on only part of that evening's proceedings, and although the morning-after scene is from Crowley's POV and gives us a bit of how he feels about all of this, well, there's a gaping hole where the rest of that crucial first night should be. I felt on first writing the story that including everything I envisioned as happening there would have been gratuitous and/or set the story off-balance. Hopefully, I've come far enough now on this 'verse that sticking my nose in wherever and whenever I please is justifiable.
Summary: For best results, read WW&TM up through the section ending Aziraphale squeezed his eyes shut, swallowing a burst of amazed laughter, holding him closer still, calming him. Safe. (and then read this, and then onward as normal).

GO Summer Prompt Fill #9: Rip Tide
Title: Rip Tide
Pairing: Aziraphale/Crowley
Rating: PG-13 or R (more blurry than usual)
Notes: This prompt actually came last in the poll, but I'm going to pull the writer's-prerogative trump card and move it up, as Aziraphale/Crowley and something to do with Mont Saint-Michel is a prompt inherently dear to my heart (if only because it combines one of my most favorite places in the world with one of my most favorite couples). The last few prompt fills, although they can be read as stand-alones, have been set in Crown of Thorns 'Verse; this prompt is the last of the current lot from which I'll be crafting another short "Extra"-type ficlet in this vein (because the next time I visit CoT, which I hope will be within a few weeks' time, it'll be to write a full-length story along the structural lines of The Walls, the Wainscot, and the Mouse and What to Do When the Clock Just Stops in order to cover Adam and Sophia's wedding). Therefore, this ficlet is not so much a stand-alone within the 'verse; it draws on information given in previous stories and ficlets (see the master post as linked just above for where it falls in the overall order; put simply, it follows Tutorial).
Addendum: Look, this was supposed to be very short, but it hit 3,000 words and has a couple of accompanying photographs (linked in the text); it also contains an unexpected sub-plot dealing with the early Middle Ages and the Arrangement, plus a rogue Geoffrey of Monmouth reference. Surprise!content at its most maddening.
Summary: Telling, when you found that you needed a holiday after your holiday.
